Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Switch 2 Edition Adds Heroes Vault

Nintendo has detailed the Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, which launches physically and digitally on December 3. The upgraded version introduces a new character named Shimmer and a Heroes’ Vault mode built around roguelite gameplay. Players progress through repeated combat challenges, unlocking new upgrades as they defeat enemies. Owners of the original Nintendo Switch version will be able to purchase an upgrade pack rather than buying the entire game again. The release continues Nintendo’s broader Switch 2 expansion of the Xenoblade series, following updated versions of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 originally launched in 2022 and later received several expansion waves, including the Future Redeemed story content in 2023.
