Meta Opens Muse Agent to DIY Hardware Projects
Anime & AI News

Meta has launched Muse Gadgets, an open-source project that lets developers build custom hardware connected to its Muse personal AI agent. The company is releasing open-source firmware and a Linux software development kit, with support for devices built around platforms such as Raspberry Pi and ESP32 boards. Suggested projects include colour e-ink displays and HDMI sticks that bring Muse to televisions. Meta says developers can connect the agent to displays, buttons, sensors, actuators and other hardware. The company has already built Muse Home Link, a USB-C-powered device that connects Muse to a home network and compatible smart devices including speakers and televisions. Meta produced 5,000 Home Link units for free distribution to encourage experimentation with AI beyond phones and computers.
