Naruto and Ninku Unite in New Crossover Anime

Naruto is crossing over with Ninku in a new limited television anime series titled NARUTO x NINKU. Announced at New York Comic Con, the project brings together the two ninja franchises through a completely original story supervised by creators Masashi Kishimoto and Koji Kiriyama. The plot follows Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura as they accidentally enter the world of Ninku while Naruto serves as acting captain of Team 7. Noriyuki Abe, who directed the Ninku anime and served as chief director on Boruto, is directing the crossover. Tetsuya Nishio, a veteran of both franchises, will oversee character design and lead animation. Kishimoto has credited Ninku as an important influence on Naruto’s creation. The announcement also included a collaboration visual and commemorative illustrations from both manga creators.
