Nue’s Exorcist Anime Reveals Summer 2027 Broadcast Window

Nue’s Exorcist is heading to television in summer 2027, with a teaser trailer and a visual introducing the adaptation of Kota Kawae’s Weekly Shonen Jump manga. Hiroyuki Hashimoto is directing for Studio Hibari, while Hiroshi Seko oversees series composition and Shunpei Mochizuki designs the characters. The announced cast includes Kaito Miura as schoolboy Gakuro Yajima, Saori Onishi as the supernatural figure Nue, and Sayumi Suzushiro as Kazusa Suo. The original manga launched in May 2023 and topped AnimeJapan’s 2025 poll of manga that fans most wanted animated. The premise follows Gakuro as he tries to live quietly and avoid contact with spirits, a plan that unravels when he enters a sealed room and meets Nue. English editions are available through Viz Media and Manga Plus.
