Schwarzesmarken Visual Novels Announced for Steam

The Muv-Luv Presents 2026 livestream announced that two Schwarzesmarken visual novel games are coming to Steam. The planned releases are Kouketsu no Monsho, also known as Crest of Red Blood, and Junkyosha-tachi, or Martyrs. The company expects to support Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, but has not yet announced release dates. Set in an alternate 1983, the Schwarzesmarken storyline focuses on the 666th Tactical Surface Fighter Squadron and takes place before Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse. The first game originally appeared on PC in November 2015 and its follow-up launched in October 2016. The franchise also inspired a twelve-episode television anime in 2016, directed by Tetsuya Watanabe and produced by Ixtl and LIDEN FILMS.
