Canva Introduces Craft AI Image Generator

Canva has launched Craft, a new image generation model designed to make layouts, typography, and other graphic elements easier to control. Unlike systems focused mainly on photographs, the model first plans spatial relationships and then creates the finished image. Canva says it supports numerous aspect ratios, up to 2K resolution, and editing that preserves parts of a design not being changed. The company trained the system with graphic design material from its template library, including posters, presentations, and social media content. Craft is accessible through Dream Lab and is also being offered to developers through an API. The release follows Canva’s acquisition of Leonardo.ai and forms part of its broader effort to offer more integrated creative tools.
