New ChatGPT Pulse Proactively Delivers Personalized Updates Based on User Activity
Anime & AI News

OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Pulse, a new feature that shifts ChatGPT from a reactive to a proactive mode, starting with a mobile preview for Pro users. Pulse conducts asynchronous research based on chat history, memory, and optional integrations with Gmail and Google Calendar, then delivers daily personalized updates as visual cards. Users can curate topics, request specific research, and provide feedback to refine relevance over time. Designed to save effort, Pulse offers timely suggestions such as travel tips, meeting agendas, or dinner ideas without encouraging endless scrolling. Early tests with students highlighted its value once they directed what they wanted to see. While still in preview, Pulse represents the first step toward a more proactive AI assistant, evolving from answering questions to anticipating and advancing user goals.
