Cosmic Princess Kaguya Debut Trailer and Visuals Ahead of January 22 Netflix Release

Netflix will stream the animated feature film Cosmic Princess Kaguya worldwide on January 22, 2026, and a new teaser visual and trailer have been released ahead of its debut. This project marks the feature directorial debut of Shingo Yamashita, known for opening direction work on anime like JUJUTSU KAISEN and Chainsaw Man. Produced by Studio Colorido with Studio Chromato, the film blends music from well‑known Vocaloid producers and combines a modern take on the classic Princess Kaguya folktale with a virtual realm narrative. The story follows high schooler Iroha Sakayori as she discovers a mysterious baby who grows into Kaguya and becomes a streamer, with growing bonds and looming forces seeking to take her back. The cast includes Yuko Natsuyoshi, Anna Nagase, and Saori Hayami.
