ChatGPT Health Adds Private Medical Record Context Inside ChatGPT

OpenAI introduced ChatGPT Health, a dedicated space inside ChatGPT for health and wellness conversations. Users can connect medical records and apps like Apple Health, Function, and MyFitnessPal to ground answers in context, helping interpret test results, prepare for appointments, plan diet and exercise routines, and compare insurance options. Health is meant to support, not replace, clinicians and is not for diagnosis or treatment. OpenAI says Health is isolated from other chats, with separate memories, and that health conversations are not used to train foundation models. It was developed with input from more than 260 physicians and evaluated with OpenAI’s HealthBench. Access starts via a waitlist and rolls out on the web and iOS, initially limited to users outside the EEA, Switzerland, and the UK.
