At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Lucid Group, Nuro, and Uber revealed a production-intent robotaxi designed for commercial autonomous ride service later in 2026. The vehicle, built on Lucid’s electric Gravity SUV platform, integrates advanced sensors with a Level 4 autonomous driving system developed by Nuro and uses Nvidia DRIVE AGX Thor computing. Uber has crafted an interactive in-cab experience that lets riders control climate, seating, and entertainment while accessing support services. On-road testing began in December in the San Francisco Bay Area under safety supervision, with plans to expand to broader deployment. The unveiling places the partners among other companies racing to bring driverless taxis to market, highlighting progress in autonomous mobility and ride-hailing integration.
