Google Rolls Out Personalized AI Inbox and AI Overviews for Gmail

Google has introduced a suite of new AI‐driven features for Gmail that aim to make email management more intuitive and personalized. The centerpiece is a new AI Inbox tab that uses generative AI to scan messages and surface suggested to‐dos, such as reminders or priorities, as well as topics to catch up on, all based on content in the user’s inbox. Gmail is also adding AI Overviews, which allow users to search their inbox with natural language queries and receive concise summaries or direct answers. Additional tools such as Help Me Write, Suggested Replies, and Proofread assist users in composing and refining messages. These updates are designed to enhance productivity and streamline day‐to‐day email interactions for consumers.
