Inept Villainess Theme Music Videos Released

Though I Am an Inept Villainess has released music videos for both of its theme songs following the anime’s July 12 premiere. Singer-songwriter Milet performs the opening theme, “Sunny,” inspired by Reirin and Keigetsu’s body-swapping story and their differing views of the world. Rokudenashi performs the ending theme “Houkiboshi,” written and composed by Eve to reflect Keigetsu’s inner conflict and determination. Both tracks were released digitally in July. Mitsue Yamazaki directs the television adaptation at Doga Kobo, with Yoshiko Nakamura overseeing series composition, Ai Kikuchi designing the characters, and Yukari Hashimoto composing the music. Crunchyroll streams the fantasy drama, which follows two court women whose magical exchange of bodies exposes hidden hardships, a looming execution, and an inner-court conspiracy.
