Anime & AI News

AMD unveiled the Threadripper Halo Station at IFA 2026 as a workstation designed to run AI models with more than a trillion parameters locally. Digital Trends reports that the system uses a 96-core, 192-thread Threadripper Pro 9995WX processor and is initially configured with two liquid-cooled Instinct MI350P accelerators, each carrying 144GB of HBM3E memory. AMD says the platform can eventually support four accelerators, raising total GPU memory to 576GB, alongside as much as 2TB of DDR5 system memory. The machine also exposes 128 PCIe 5.0 lanes and requires substantial power and cooling. AMD has not announced pricing or a release date, while component estimates suggest a system far beyond ordinary desktop budgets and closer to server-class infrastructure.
