Ascendance of a Bookworm Cour 2 Adds Kaede Hondo as Charlotte

Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke has added Kaede Hondo to the cast as Charlotte while releasing a new trailer ahead of the cour’s final episodes. The current anime adapts the Adopted Daughter of an Archduke arc from Miya Kazuki’s light novel series and began its latest season in April 2026, with the second consecutive cour following in July. Yoshiaki Iwasaki directs the season at WIT Studio, succeeding Mitsuru Hongo. Mariko Kunisawa returns for series composition, Michiru composes the music and Aiko Minowa handles character designs. The fantasy series continues Rozemyne’s book-centered journey through Ehrenfest’s rigid social order, with the newly announced Charlotte joining the cast as the season approaches its climax.
