ChatGPT Adds Global Virtual Try-On and Favorites

OpenAI is rolling out two new shopping features for ChatGPT worldwide: Virtual Try On and Favourites. Virtual Try On lets users upload a selfie or full-body photo and generate previews of clothing or accessories on themselves from ChatGPT shopping results. Users can also upload product screenshots or describe a desired look and ask ChatGPT to find similar items. The feature runs on the newly launched ChatGPT Images 2.5 model. Favourites adds a way to save products for later reference inside a personal library. The launch continues OpenAI’s experiments with conversational commerce after earlier efforts such as instant checkout. The new approach focuses on visual product discovery and saving items rather than completing purchases directly inside the assistant.
