Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Reveals October 20 Release Date

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 has received a new voiced trailer and an October 20, 2026 release date on Netflix. The sequel is a new standalone 10-episode story set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe rather than a continuation of the first anime’s central cast. Its creative team describes the story as a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge. Kai Ikarashi, who worked on the original series and directed its sixth episode, makes his series-directing debut. Ichigo Kanno serves as the character designer, Masahiko Otsuka handles the screenplay, and Bartosz Sztybor returns as the showrunner, storywriter, and producer. Studio Trigger animated the original 2022 series. The new trailer expands the sequel’s characters and voices ahead of its worldwide Netflix launch, returning viewers to the Cyberpunk 2077 universe with an entirely new 10-episode story.
