Dyson CameraJet Uses AI to Find Missed Tooth Gaps
Anime & AI News
Dyson has entered dental care with CameraJet, a $499 connected toothbrush combining a built-in camera, artificial intelligence and a targeted mouthwash jet. Its Gap Optical Targeting system uses a 100,000-pixel camera to identify spaces between teeth, then directs a cone-shaped spray into those areas to remove plaque without harming gums or enamel. A diaphragm pump and pressure chamber maintain steady flow from the 12.5-millilitre tank regardless of brushing angle. The brush includes firm inner bristles, softer outer bristles and RFID-equipped heads that track use. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connect CameraJet to the MyDyson app, where users can view a live camera feed and map well-covered or missed areas. The charging dock refills the device in three seconds, and a travel case is included.
