Echoes of Aincrad Genesis Maidens DLC Adds Mito This Winter

Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the Genesis Maidens DLC for Sword Art Online action RPG Echoes of Aincrad, with the expansion scheduled for this winter. The new storyline expands Floors 1 and 2 of Aincrad with additional areas and brings Mito from the Sword Art Online Progressive films into the game. Mito arrives with the new Curved Sword weapon type, while the update also introduces armor enhancement. Echoes of Aincrad launched in July for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Unlike earlier franchise games centered on established heroes, it lets players create their own protagonist and experience the trapped-in-Aincrad premise alongside characters such as Kirito and Asuna. Genesis Maidens adds another piece of Progressive continuity while broadening the base game’s combat, equipment and exploration systems.
