Expelled from Paradise Sequel Unveils New Teaser and Cast

The anime film Expelled from Paradise: Resonance of the Heart has unveiled a fifth teaser trailer, a new visual, and an additional cast member. Sumire Morohoshi joins the sequel as the new character Penem. The film opens in Japanese cinemas on November 13, 2026. Director Seiji Mizushima returns alongside screenwriter Gen Urobuchi, character designer Masatsugu Saito and mechanical designers Kanetake Ebikawa, Junya Ishigaki and Takayuki Yanase, with NARASAKI composing the music. The project continues the 2014 science fiction story about Angela Balzac, a virtual-world agent who takes an organic body and travels to a ruined Earth to investigate the hacker, Frontier Setter. The new teaser previews the sequel’s expanded world, returning creative team, and fresh character dynamics.
