Google Cloud and Accenture Form Enterprise AI Deployment Unit

Google Cloud and Accenture are creating a joint enterprise AI unit focused on forward-deployed engineers who can help companies implement Gemini-based systems directly inside business workflows. The Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group will sit within Accenture, and Google plans to train up to 1,000 of the consultancy’s engineers to build custom applications on Gemini Enterprise. The move reflects growing competition among Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft and Amazon to turn model deployment into a major services business. TechCrunch notes that enterprises are spending heavily on AI while still struggling to prove returns, making implementation expertise increasingly valuable. Google has already committed significant resources to similar partner programs with consultancies and investment firms as it tries to narrow the enterprise adoption gap with rivals.
