Google Pics Brings Prompt-Based Design to Workspace
Anime & AI News
Google is entering the creative design market with Google Pics, an image generation and editing application powered by its Nano Banana model. The service will roll out to most Workspace customers and Google AI Pro or Ultra subscribers over the coming weeks. Users can prompt the system to create posters, social media graphics, illustrations and other everyday visuals, then isolate or transform objects and modify or translate text inside images. Google Pics also supports collaborative editing and multiple generated variations for comparison. Unlike Canva’s marketplace of creator-made assets or Adobe Express workflows built around direct design, Google’s product centers creation on generative AI trained from existing artistic material. Integration begins with Docs and Slides before expanding to Google Drive.
