Naruto Announces New Limited TV Anime Series

Viz Media has announced a new limited Naruto television anime series, with further details scheduled for a New York Comic Con panel on October 10. The “NARUTO: What’s Next?” panel will begin at 5:00 p.m. EDT and will be streamed worldwide on YouTube. Naruto voice actor Junko Takeuchi and Sasuke voice actor Noriaki Sugiyama are set to appear, joined by Pierrot Films executive producer Yoshihiro Tominaga. Masashi Kishimoto launched the original Naruto manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999 and concluded it in 2014. The franchise has since expanded through Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, films, original video anime, novels, games, stage productions, and the Boruto sequel. Viz has not yet disclosed the new limited series’ story, episode count, or release timing.
