Ollie Bets on Privacy for Family AI Assistance

Anime & AI News

Ollie is positioning privacy as a central selling point in the increasingly crowded market for personal AI assistants. The family-focused service has achieved SOC 2 compliance and says its subscription business model means user data is not shared with others or used to train AI models. Ollie connects with calendars and email to organize schedules and can assist with meals, groceries, tasks, appointments and bills through group chats. When a website login or payment is required, the service opens a remote cloud-browser session so the user can enter sensitive information directly rather than handing credentials to the assistant. Founder Bill Lennon says trust is essential before users allow an assistant deeper access to household data. TechCrunch also notes reliability remains a challenge for Ollie and AI agents generally.
