Patlabor the Case Files Launches September 17

Patlabor the Case Files will launch on September 17 for PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The new 3D action game will support Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean, with international pre-orders planned. Players will take on missions and side missions from both hero and adversary perspectives, with scenes based on the anime and more than 20 Labors included. Three members of the franchise’s HEADGEAR creative unit are supervising major elements: Yutaka Izubuchi on mechanics, Kazunori Ito on the script, and Akemi Takada on character animation. The project arrives as Patlabor continues expanding again, including the eight-part Patlabor EZY anime, whose theatrical releases began in May 2026 and continue into March 2027.
