🐱 Chase of Wonder
In the golden hush of morning, where dew still clung to blades of grass and the breeze carried whispers of distant waves, a tiny fluffball launched into the air. Its ears perked, tail flared, and eyes were wide with joy.
Kyūto, the Aegean kitten with a heart too big for her paws, had spotted it: a butterfly, bold and orange, dancing just out of reach. She didn’t want to catch it. She wanted to understand it. Why did it float like a dream? Why did it shimmer like sunlight on the sea?
She leapt at it not with precision, but with pure delight. The forest blurred around her, a watercolor of green and gold. The butterfly twirled, teasing, leading her deeper into the meadow where magic felt possible and every moment was a gift.
And for that fleeting second, suspended midair, Kyūto wasn’t just a kitten. She was a symbol of wonder, of innocence chasing beauty without needing to possess it.
The butterfly soared higher. Kyūto landed softly, paws sinking into moss. She watched it go, her eyes sparkling with a hint of disappointment, yet with awe.
Because sometimes, the chase is the treasure.
