Black Clover Guide Recounts the Story Before Season 2

Black Clover Season 2 has released special images and a synopsis for its opening episode, War Begins, which is Episode 171 overall. The season premieres on October 3, 2026, with Crunchyroll streaming it worldwide after an Anime Nights early screening on September 21. The Magic Knights prepare to rescue Yami and William Vangeance from the Dark Triad. Asta and Liebe train to master Devil Union following the Devil-Binding Ritual, while Yuno prepares for another confrontation with Zenon. In the Spade Kingdom, Morris continues working to open the gates of the underworld. Director Ayataka Tanemura leads the production, with Keiichiro Ochi overseeing series composition, Itsuko Takeda designing the characters and Minako Seki composing the music for Studio Pierrot. The TV anime “Black Clover” 2nd Season Blu-ray will be released on Wednesday, March 24, 2027!

With Black Clover Season 2 beginning its run on October 3, the series now spans a 170-episode first season and the film Sword of the Wizard King. The story follows Asta, a young man born without magic, and his rival Yuno as they pursue the title of Wizard King. Asta joins the Black Bulls, whose missions lead through the Dungeon Exploration, Underwater Temple, Forest of Witches, and Royal Knights arcs. Their conflict with the Eye of the Midnight Sun grows into the Elf Reincarnation and Shadow Palace storylines, before the Heart Kingdom training and war against the Spade Kingdom’s Dark Triad. Three promotional trailers introduce the next stage of this long-running fantasy adaptation, based on Yuki Tabata’s manga.
