Mori AI Companion Robot Uses Movement and Sound to React

Anime & AI News

Singapore-based OKA Technology has introduced Mori, a small companion robot designed to create a calming presence rather than perform household chores. Inspired by natural forms, the device responds through subtle movement, soft lighting, and nature-like sounds. Its creators describe it as a Nature Companion intended to evoke the reassuring behavior of a pet without requiring users to care for a living animal. Mori joins a growing category of personal AI products that emphasise emotional engagement, familiar appearance, and ambient interaction. Unlike robot vacuums or home assistants focused on practical commands, the device’s purpose is largely experiential. The announcement reflects experimentation with how people may relate to physical artificial intelligence companions in homes, workplaces, and other personal environments as consumer robotics continues to evolve.
