Gemini AI Turns Your Shopping Into a One-Stop AI Experience

Google is expanding its Gemini artificial intelligence to handle direct shopping tasks without requiring users to leave the AI interface. Using a new Universal Commerce Protocol standard, Gemini and Google’s AI search mode can let shoppers discover, select, and check out products inside the AI environment. Payments use Google Pay, and account login on seller sites is streamlined with a single click. Over 20 major partners, including Shopify, Etsy, Target, and Walmart, support the standard, which covers product discovery through after-sales support. The experience appears inside the Gemini app or on desktop AI Mode without opening separate apps or websites. Future support for PayPal and loyalty point rewards is planned.
