Aquaplus Delays New Utawarerumono Game Shiro e no Michishirube

Aquaplus has announced that it has delayed Utawarerumono: Shiro e no Michishirube (Utawarerumono: The Guidepost to White), the latest entry in its long-running visual novel series, from fall 2025 to spring 2026, to improve the quality further. Munemitsu Suga is writing the original story and script, while artist mi provides character designs based on Tatsuki Amazuyu and Misato Mitsumi’s originals. Music direction is by Naoya Shimokawa, with Suara performing the opening theme “Tsuki no Fune Miagete” (“Gaze Up at the Boat of the Moon”). The title’s system draws from Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten. Meanwhile, Utawarerumono: ZAN launches on Steam on October 23rd, and a Switch trilogy set is scheduled for release earlier in 2025. The franchise, begun in 2002, has inspired anime, OVAs, and multiple spin-offs.
