Blue Lock Sports Anime Gets Third Season & Live-Action

Crunchyroll’s hit sports anime Blue Lock is expanding with both a third anime season and a live-action film. Announced at the “Blue Lock Egoist Festa 2025” event in Japan, Season 3 will adapt the Neo Egoist League Arc, where Isagi and his teammates face international rivals. Series writer Muneyuki Kaneshiro celebrated the news as a “brand-new beginning,” while illustrator Yusuke Nomura teased the arrival of eccentric international players. The live-action movie, produced by CREDEUS (Kingdom, Golden Kamuy), is slated for release in Summer 2026 in Japan, coinciding with the World Cup, with Toho handling distribution. While no international release has been confirmed, fans can catch up on Blue Lock‘s first two seasons and the Episode Nagi film now streaming on Crunchyroll.
