GKIDS Releases Intermission Video for Anime Film 100 METERS

The upcoming anime film 100 METERS (Hyakuemu) has released an intermission video featuring new footage and commentary from Japanese sprinter Abdul Hakim Sani Brown alongside voice actors Tori Matsuzaka (Togashi) and Shota Sometani (Komiya). Based on Uoto’s sports manga serialized in Magazine Pocket from 2018 to 2019, the film is directed by Kenji Iwaisawa at Rock ‘n’ Roll Museum, with Keisuke Kojima as character designer and Hiroaki Tsutsumi composing the score. Opening in Japan on September 19th and distributed in U.S. theaters by GKIDS this October, the story follows natural runner Togashi and determined Komiya, whose rivalry begins in childhood and culminates in a fierce race as adults. The adaptation captures the manga’s themes of passion, perseverance, and competition.
