Good Smile Company Suspends Nendoroid Sales in U.S.
Anime & AI News

Good Smile Company, renowned for its Nendoroid figurines, has halted shipments to the U.S. due to new tariffs and Japan Post’s suspension of outgoing mail services. The disruption stems from President Donald Trump’s July 30th executive order ending the “De Minimis Treatment for All Countries,” which previously allowed inexpensive imports to enter the U.S. duty-free. Now, goods over $100 face tariffs and additional fees, impacting anime merchandise companies like Good Smile. The company has paused U.S. preorders and delayed shipments, confirming on August 28th that all U.S. orders are postponed. Despite this setback, Good Smile assured customers it is exploring alternative shipping methods and remains committed to fulfilling orders, though delays are expected, leaving many anime fans frustrated but hopeful.
