Happy Kanako’s Killer Life Anime Set for April 2027

Happy Kanako’s Killer Life is getting a television anime adaptation in April 2027. The comedy follows Kanako Nishino, an unhappy office worker who unexpectedly lands a new job at an agency that employs contract killers and discovers an alarming talent for assassination. Shinji Takamatsu, known for Gintama, will direct the series at Drive and supervise its scripts. Yoshiyuki Okubo handles character design and chief animation direction. Hana Tamegai voices Kanako, with Ryota Suzuki as coworker Sakurai and Junichi Suwabe as the company president. Toshiya Wakabayashi created the four-panel manga, which is published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment. A live-action adaptation previously debuted in 2025 and received a second season in September 2026.
