HUMAIN Horizon Ultra Combines Local and Cloud AI
Anime & AI News
Qualcomm and HUMAIN have unveiled the Horizon Ultra, an AI PC built around the Snapdragon X2 Elite platform and designed to run artificial intelligence tasks locally whenever possible. Digital Trends reports that the system can shift work to cloud resources when additional computing power is required, combining on-device responsiveness with access to larger remote models. The approach reflects a broader move toward hybrid AI computing, where personal devices handle privacy-sensitive or routine tasks while cloud infrastructure provides extra capacity for demanding workloads. Running more AI locally can reduce dependence on constant network access and may improve latency for supported applications. The Horizon Ultra also demonstrates how PC makers and chip companies are treating dedicated AI capability as a core part of the next generation of personal computing.
