Kyoto Animation to Adapt RuriDragon Manga into Anime

The urban fantasy manga RuriDragon has officially been announced for an anime adaptation by Kyoto Animation. The news was revealed in a year-end video from Kyoto Animation and Shonen Jump, though a broadcast date has not yet been set and the project is likely over a year away. RuriDragon, written by Masaoki Shindo, follows high school student Ruri Aoki who suddenly grows horns and discovers her father is a dragon. The series combines slice-of-life elements with light fantasy, focusing on her everyday life and the challenges that come with her new identity. Fans of the manga, which faced delays due to the creator’s health, have long awaited confirmation of an anime, and Studio Kyoto Animation’s involvement has excited the community.
