Meta is preparing to launch the Hypernova AI Glasses, its most ambitious AR product yet, at the upcoming Connect event. Priced around $800, the glasses combine a lightweight, fashion-forward design with a compact heads-up display that delivers texts, maps, alerts, and notifications directly into the wearer’s field of vision. A neural wristband powered by electromyography (EMG) translates subtle finger and wrist movements into digital commands, enabling discreet, hands-free interaction. Fully integrated with Meta’s AI assistant, Hypernova provides contextual notifications, voice-driven tasks, and quick responses, all without the need for a phone. With an initial production run of 150,000 to 200,000 units, Meta aims to achieve mainstream adoption by striking a balance between affordability and functionality, positioning the Hypernova as a stylish and practical gateway to everyday augmented reality.
