Microsoft Launches Windows 11 AI Updates Boosting Copilot

Microsoft has rolled out major AI upgrades to Windows 11, enhancing its Copilot assistant with new automation and device connectivity features. Users can now activate Copilot hands-free by saying the wake phrase, “Hey Copilot,” while Copilot Vision analyzes on-screen content to answer questions. A new text-based Vision mode for Windows Insiders will complement voice input. Microsoft also introduced an experimental Copilot Actions mode, allowing the AI to handle real-world tasks like booking restaurants or ordering groceries, with user-controlled permissions. Additionally, Gaming Copilot debuts on Xbox Ally consoles, providing real-time game support and recommendations. These updates signal Microsoft’s push to embed AI seamlessly across daily computing experiences, competing with Google and Meta’s assistants.
