New Trailer for Shiori of the Labyrinth Anime Film

Shoji Kawamori’s upcoming anime film Meikyu no Shiori (Shiori of the Labyrinth) will premiere in Japan on January 1st, 2026. A new trailer introduced Takuto Teranishi of boy band timelesz in his first voice acting role as Suguru Kagami, a university student researching direct smartphone-to-brain connections and drawing global attention as a young entrepreneur. Kawamori praised Teranishi’s nuanced performance, calling the role both mysterious and challenging. SUZUKA from ATARASHII GAKKO! also makes her voice acting debut in the film. Produced at SANJIGEN with character designs by Risa Ebata and script by Taichi Hashimoto, the story follows high schooler Shiori Maezawa, who finds herself in a deserted Yokohama where mysterious photos of her appear on social media, trapped in a surreal smartphone labyrinth.
