Playing Sister Teases Its Second Episode Investigation

The independent anime Playing Sister has released a teaser for its second episode, titled Investigation. The doppelganger mystery began with its first installment in January 2026 and is tentatively planned as a three-episode series. A release date for the new episode has not yet been announced. Director and writer HarumakiGohan will distribute the continuation through YouTube, niconico and bilibili, as with the opening episode. The story takes place in remote Kagami Village, where an old legend warns of beings called Doubles. Akane Higure awaits the return of her older sister Sui after a lengthy hospital stay, but an unsettling phone call suggests the person who came home may not be her sister at all. HarumakiGohan’s Studio Gohan produces the anime, which also has songs connected to its setting.
