Though I Am an Inept Villainess Artwork Tease

The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Though I Am an Inept Villainess: Tale of the Butterfly-Rat Body Swap in the Maiden Court has revealed new character artwork of Kou Reirin and Shu Keigetsu following their dramatic body swap. Based on Satsuki Nakamura’s period fantasy light novel series with illustrations by YukiKana, the story follows political intrigue in the Kingdom of Ei, where rival maidens vie to become empress. Just as delicate Reirin seems destined to wed the crown prince, the envious Keigetsu usurps her body, leaving Reirin imprisoned, yet empowered by her rival’s stronger form. Directed by Mitsue Yamazaki at Doga Kobo, with Yoshiko Nakamura handling series composition and Ai Kikuchi designing characters, the anime adapts a tale already spanning ten novels and a manga by Ei Ohitsuji.
