Toho Announces Dokagui Daisuki Mochizuki-san Anime

TOHO Animation confirmed an anime adaptation of Kamome Maruyono’s comedy gourmet manga Dokagui Daisuki! Mochizuki-san. The announcement followed a teaser declaring that food terror was coming and concluded a one-hour video centered on real cooking. A new illustration was also released for the project. The manga follows Mikoto Mochizuki, a mild-mannered woman whose intense enthusiasm for eating leads her to consume extraordinarily large and rich meals. Maruyono launched the series in Young Animal Zero magazine and on the Young Animal Web platform in May 2024. Its exaggerated approach to binge eating quickly drew attention and earned appearances in manga rankings and award programs, including the Next Manga Awards, Manga Taisho, EbookJapan Manga Awards, and Kono Manga ga Sugoi.
