Trump Announces New Super Intelligence Force

Anime & AI News

President Donald Trump has announced a new Super Intelligence Force, chaired by National Intelligence Director Jay Clayton, to coordinate federal policy on advanced AI. The task force follows an executive order directing officials to use the term super intelligence and a recent voluntary safety pledge signed by major technology executives. Federal Trade Commission chair Andrew Ferguson, defence research official Emil Michael and Office of Personnel Management director Scott Kupor are expected to serve as vice chairs. The group reportedly has 120 days to produce a report on AI risks and opportunities. Its charter calls for responses to AI-enabled threats while avoiding over-regulation and regulatory capture. Clayton has argued that the United States cannot afford to fall behind competitors such as China, framing technological leadership itself as a major national security concern.
