UK ASA rules CTW’s High School DxD Ads in breach of Advertising Rules
Anime & AI News

The UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) ruled that three YouTube ads for CTW’s High School DxD Operation Paradise Infinity browser game on the G123 platform breached advertising rules by portraying anime characters in a sexualized manner suggestive of being under 18. Complaints highlighted the use of terms such as “boobtastic,” “gentleman’s harem,” and “titillating,” alongside imagery featuring partial nudity, thighs, buttocks, panties, and “high school” references. The ASA found the ads offensive, socially irresponsible, and in violation of CAP Code rules on underage depictions and harmful gender stereotypes. CTW removed the ads, admitted to failing to meet UK standards, and pledged to implement stricter review processes. The warning comes weeks after CTW’s Nasdaq IPO, as the company seeks global expansion with its anime-based gaming platform G123.
