Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Keeps Breaking Records
Anime & AI News
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle continues to shatter records ahead of its Western release, cementing itself as a box office juggernaut. Already surpassing $200 million across Asian markets, the film recently became the highest-rated original anime movie on IMDb with an 8.9/10, overtaking celebrated titles like Your Name and A Silent Voice. It also set Japanese records for biggest single-day and opening-weekend earnings and ranks sixth all-time at the domestic box office. U.S. presales have been extraordinary, with $10 million in advance tickets sold through major chains, the best ever for an anime film, even topping Mugen Train and Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Adapting the manga’s climactic Infinity Castle arc, the film debuts worldwide on September 12th, with early screenings on September 9th.
