Anime & AI News

Netflix’s animated musical KPop Demon Hunters has smashed yet another record, cementing its place as the platform’s biggest hit. According to Variety, the film has logged 15 consecutive weeks in Netflix’s global Top 10 for English-language movies (from September 22nd to 28th), overtaking Red Notice’s 14 non-consecutive weeks. This milestone comes after KPop Demon Hunters became Netflix’s most-watched title ever, ending its 91-day run with 325.1 million views, surpassing Squid Game season 1’s 265.2 million. The film, about girl group Huntr/x defending humanity from demons with music, has never dropped below #2 in the weekly charts. With a sequel, a possible trilogy, a live-action remake, a stage musical, a short film, and a chart-topping soundtrack, Netflix is doubling down on its breakout phenomenon.
