Firma Power Connects AI Data Centers to Renewable Energy

Anime & AI News

Startup Firma Power is developing software to help electricity-hungry AI data centres secure renewable energy from multiple projects, rather than relying on new gas plants. Its FirmaOS platform searches proposed wind, solar and battery developments, calculates the combined capacity a facility needs and matches suitable projects to buyers. The company says it can negotiate across developers and give customers a single contract, shortening a process that otherwise involves many separate agreements. Co-founder Jesse Jenkins argues that fragmented projects and grid connection problems can make clean power difficult to procure even when capacity is planned. Founded by Jenkins, Scott Burger, and Brent Alderfer, Firma reportedly raised about $1.4 million in February 2026 and is working with large cloud customers.
