Kindergarten Wars Adds Mirei Kumagai As Mac

The Kindergarten Wars anime has added Mirei Kumagai to its cast as Mac, a teacher in the Violet class and Lyla’s caretaker. Mac communicates through a voice app on a smartphone and wears a bear costume, adding another eccentric figure to the action-romcom school setting. The adaptation of You Chiba’s manga is scheduled to broadcast in spring 2027. Shinsuke Gomi directs the series at Sunrise and FelixFilm, with Junko Yamanaka designing the characters. The manga runs on Shonen Jump+ and has 17 volumes in Japan. Yen Press handles the physical English edition, while Manga PLUS describes the story as an action-packed rom-com set inside Kindergarten Noir, an elite school where assassins still find their way in.
