Meet NOETIX’s Bumi Robot, An Affordable $1K Humanoid

Beijing-based Noetix Robotics announced pre-sales of “Bumi,” China’s first consumer humanoid robot priced under ¥10,000 ($1,400), marking a significant shift toward mass-market robotics. Standing 94 cm tall and weighing 12 kg, Bumi features a 48V battery providing 1-2 hours of runtime and can walk, run, and dance. The robot supports drag-and-drop graphical programming for children and voice interaction for educational and companion purposes. Founded in September 2023 by a team from Tsinghua and Zhejiang Universities, Noetix previously gained recognition with its N2 humanoid robot, which secured over 2,500 orders and competed in a humanoid robot half-marathon in 2024. The breakthrough pricing aims to transition humanoid robots from laboratory curiosities to accessible home devices for education, research, and everyday use.
