Netflix Teases Start of Production of Blue Eye Samurai Season 2

At Anime NYC, Netflix electrified fans by unveiling trailers for three major upcoming anime: Blue Eye Samurai season 2, Devil May Cry season 2, and Record of Ragnarok III. The standout was Blue Eye Samurai, whose stunning visuals and brutal storytelling previously set it apart, with season 2 promising Mizu’s continued bloody path of vengeance. Creators Amber Noizumi and Michael Green teased that her quest may involve using Abijah as a stepping stone to bigger targets. Fans online quickly compared the trailers favorably to Arcane, calling Netflix’s slate “already better.” While production on Blue Eye Samurai season 2 has only just begun, with release expected in 2026, anticipation is sky-high across all three series, cementing Netflix’s expanding role in anime.
