South Korea’s ALLEX Shows Extraordinary Human-like Dexterity

Anime & AI News

South Korea’s WIRobotics has unveiled ALLEX (“All EXperience”), a humanoid robot designed with extraordinary human-like dexterity. Founded by former Samsung engineers, the company showcased ALLEX’s sensor-equipped head and highly versatile hands, which feature rapid, lifelike finger motions that can precisely manipulate objects while compliantly responding to external forces. The robot’s arms also boast drastically reduced friction and inertia, allowing natural interaction with humans. While ALLEX’s lower body remains under wraps, the team says its focus is on creating robots that not only mimic movement but also “experience and respond” to the real world. Partnering with AI startups and research institutions, WIRobotics aims to release a general-purpose humanoid within five years, expanding its capabilities from precision tasks to broader everyday applications.
